Last session in Oz before flying out mid December was a jumping 3.7 Coros session. It was a great day and a nice end to a month spent down the line riding 🌊

Happy to land one handed one footed backies consistently that day, and I’m pumped to get back into it and get them higher and cleaner before the season kicks off 💃🏼

4th in the World in 2025 🌍💥

They say 4th place is the worst an athlete can get — but not for me, not after the rollercoaster of the last three seasons.

Since finishing 2nd overall in 2022, it’s been a constant battle:
💥 Broken hand (operated on twice in 1.5 years)
💥 Broken foot (for the 3rd time!)
💥 Torn meniscus & quad
💥 Tumor removal surgery complications and months of recovery

Every year meant starting from scratch and rebuilding my strength. Then, in early 2025, my Dad was diagnosed with cancer — turning this season into the toughest fight yet.

Between last-minute flights and hospital visits, tough luck in constantly losing heats by a hair (0.04-0.6pt) I made it back onto the podium in Sylt and into the Top 4 overall after two injury-packed seasons outside the Top 10. And I’m stoked.

🥉3rd at the World Cup Sylt 🍾🥳

There’s only one Sylt! Until you’ve been ‚Sylted’, you don’t know how brutal this place can be 😅 Definitely the toughest sailing I’ve ever done anywhere — but also one of the most special. I love the yearly Sylt challange 🤩

Super happy to be back on the podium after 3 years when I battled through: a broken hand (twice operated, still metal inside 😅), broken foot, broken meniscus, torn quad muscle, and even a tumor removal surgery - just making it back on the water in time for most of the events. Plus a tough half year with my Dad’s illness… so this one means a lot 🙏

Huge congrats to @soldegrieck for her first win, @linaerpenstein for 2nd, and @pauline__katz for making the final 🔥 Honored to battle with you all!

Windsurfing in Poland – Jastrzębia Góra 🦅

Third and final stop of my trip to the Polish seaside! The forecast was fading and the waves had dropped, but it was still perfect for jumping on 3.7 for me.

Spot features:
• Inside & outside breaks with plenty of ramps → multiple jumps per run
• No “wave breakers” here — just sand
• Current a bit stronger than Ustka, but lighter than Jarosławiec or Lubiatowo
• Great alternative when Ustka is too offshore
• Rigging in the forest 🌳🤩
• Restaurants nearby for post-session hunger with yummy Polish food 😋

Windsurfing in Poland - Ustka 🌊

As promised, here’s a reel from the second spot we got to sail recently! Footage is courtesy of Dad and his phone (our videographer was out sick again😅). You can find more Ustka sessions on my YouTube channel — link in bio!

What makes Ustka so special? 🌊
• The long pier at the upwind harbor blocks the strong current you usually face at most Polish spots.
• The wind is often slightly side-off, which means smooth wave riding on the inside and perfect jumping conditions on the outside break.
• The spot sits right in a charming seaside town, with hotels, restaurants, and restored architecture just steps from the beach.

If you only visit one windsurf spot in Poland — let it be Ustka. 💙

Windsurfing in Jarosławiec, Poland 🩵

We scored a few fun days sailing at the Polish seaside last week, hitting three different spots. Here’s a quick recap of the first one — Jarosławiec.

Like many Polish spots, it has a wild forest right by the beach, perfect for rigging and shelter from wind, sun, or rain.

The cameraman was ill 🤒 last week, but Dad stepped in with his phone and caught a few clips between squalls 🙌

I started on a 4.2, quickly swapped to a 3.7, and spent most of the afternoon on a 3.3 🥳 Jarosławiec isn’t the easiest spot with its strong current and sheltered inside wind, but in the right conditions it’s epic fun!

Today was my last session in Pozo before flying out tomorrow morning 🥲 At least I got a great send off with some nice farewell swell rolling in. The wind was quite Northerly making it tricky on the inside, but there were some good gusts coming through.

A throwback to Ozzie summer when I worked mostly on my wave riding but also managed to get pretty consistent with my one foot and one hand backloops variations.

Tenerife is one of Dad’s favorite windsurfing destinations as well as home to the first World Cup he ever seen me compete in.

We hoped he would be able to make it but unfortunately he got a bad infection just weeks prior the event leaving him unfit to travel. I’ve seen him battle through hell. It was almost worse than his cancer surgery recovery, but he pushed through 💪💪

After many hard days, he finally started feeling better and I managed to fly over in time for the single elimination.

I missed him here and since a lot of people asked about him and wished him well, I thought it would be cool if he could hear all of the support from riders and the local community himself. Here it is ☝️

=5th in the Single Elimination in Tenerife 🏄‍♀️

I am happy with my sailing in the quarterfinals 🙃 I found good waves, felt on it and advanced to the semifinals only 0.33 of a point behind an on fire @alexiakiefer

In the semis the conditions changed, the tide was much lower and I struggled to find longer running waves.. in the end I missed out on the final by 0.6 point behind @line_wittrup who had a charger heat 🔥

All the gear was working great and I’m looking forward to try to battle it out in the double elimination later today. Let’s see if the Ocean is on my side this time 😊 There’s definitely much more waves around today 🌊🤩

There’s been so much going on I didn’t get around to write an update. I took a flight back home to care for Dad ❤️‍🩹

A recap of recent days and weeks:
📉 Unfortunately I lost in the double elimination by 0.04 point on the last move of the heat 😔 It seems to be a trend in recent years that I lose in the last move of the heat by tens of a point, missing out on finals in Sylt and Chile and now on a chance for a full come back. It also means I am sitting in 4th overall (I needed that heat to become 3rd) after first two 5star events of the year.. but with how this year is going I’m happy to still be in the game.

📈 Making a podium in the Pozo Super Session was a nice consolation prize. Conditions were super hard, with 50 people going at it all at once, 45knots and tiny waves on offer. I managed a big table top forward and a one footed backloop which put me in 3rd🥉

The action didn’t end there as it was straight into @girlsontour__wind event where I got to coach 40 ladies alongside other pro women. I enjoyed it a lot! It’s so much fun to see the girls cheer each other on and improve 🤩 Well done for organising @pauline__katz 👏

After all the events were done, it was time for training sessions with my favorite Polish crew and of course coach @dr_windsurf 👉 #probablythebestcoachintheworld

We scored various conditions, including a freaky big swell for June that was quite a challange to handle at 45 knots. Big, sandy close outs were up for grabs and it was fun trying to make the most of it - if you like sand between your teeth that is 😉

A month ago I didn’t expect to even make it to GC. Big thanks for support to @north_windsurfing and @flikkaboards - I couldn’t ask for better gear 🫶

Now my focus is on Dad’s recovery. I always pass on all the wishes from everyone, thank you to all who reach out and check on him. He loves hearing from you!

I’m not sure if I will manage to make Tenerife event at this stage. Let’s wait and see 🤙

I just touched down in Gran Canaria again and will be competing in the Pozo World Cup! 🌊

It wasn’t certain whether I’d be able to make it this year, as my Dad has been unwell. I’m happy to report that he’s now in much better shape after a difficult, yet successful surgery two months ago. He encouraged me to come and compete—so here I am! :)

Since I’ve been in Poland for the past three months, I didn’t spend as much time in Pozo as I usually do before competitions. However, the time I did spend here recently was epic. I scored 10/10 windy days—and by windy, I mean I was mostly on a 3.0, with the occasional session on a 3.3! I’m stoked I got the chance to get used to the hurricane winds again. Big shout-out to @dornbuschkarin for capturing a few of my sessions 🙌

After breaking my foot just a week before the comp last year, and with all the challenges this year has brought, it feels great to be back competing in Pozo. The forecast is looking insanely windy, so make sure to tune in to the livestream—action starts tomorrow morning!

I wish this was an April Fool’s post, but no 😅 I missed out on the final by 0.2 point yesterday evening 🫠

After advancing to the semifinals and feeling good on the water I was pumped and ready to send it 🚀Unfortunately, we only got to sail the last heat around 7pm in dying wind and low tide close outs. With super tricky conditions and not much luck with the sets I sailed my worst heat of the competition not able to find a decent wave to ride. I did what I could with what I got, but lost by a hair 🥴

That’s competition. Finishing =5th here in Chile. Not a result I aspired to, but I’m happy with my sailing. Sometimes you just need a bit of luck and it wasn’t meant to be.

Upwards and onwards 🚀😉

Spicy conditions at Matanzas yesterday 🌶️ 🇨🇱 🥳🤩

Chile turned on delivering some monster sets throughout the day! It was great to watch everyone and also nice to be out there with just a few people for a change!

Tricky sailing as the wind went suuuper light just before our heat. I’m glad I managed to catch a few decent waves before getting stuck on the inside 🏊 😅

I forgot just how beautiful this place is! The views are breathtaking! Amazing location, although much colder then Oz this time a year 🥶😁

There’s not much wind or waves forecasted for the next few days, but at least I will get a chance to get over the jet lag (it’s 11hrs difference with WA!).

Straya 🇦🇺 🦘🩷

It’s been a challenging season for me, with a late (and slow) start. Recovering from surgery meant I couldn’t sail at all for the first few weeks in Oz and even when I’ve started, I often suffered quite severe pain due to post op complications.

However, the last few weeks I started to feel like myself again! Over the last few months I worked hard on getting my strength and fitness back and along with it I got my windsurfing mojo back too! 🥳

This season was mainly about DTL riding as we were getting heaps of swell 🤩 but! Riding is only 50% of what wave sailing has to offer and only half the skill and half the fun! It’s good to get some jumping conditions for a change and fly a little too ☺️🥰
