2nd At Tenerife PWA World Cup!

2019 PWA World Cup Tenerife Women Podium
"Justyna Sniady (Simmer / Simmer Sails / AL360) proved that her maiden podium in Gran Canaria last month was no fluke as the Pole backed up that performance with another brilliant display in Tenerife to earn back-to-back podiums on the world tour. Sniady got the better of Sarah-Quita Offringa (Starboard / NeilPryde / Maui Ultra Fins) for the second time this season as she defeated the Aruban in the semifinals after landing a one-foot backloop. Sniady couldn’t find the jump she needed in the final to rival Iballa, but after securing back-to-back second places she now leads the world tour after the first two events." ~ Professional Windsurfer Association

One-footed backloop in the Semi-final

Wooaahhh! What a day yesterday! Sooo soooo happy right now there is no emoji to match my current state of laughing and crying at the same time 😂😭

I can’t believe I managed to come 2nd at the second stop of the PWA Wave World Tour in Tenerife only losing the final by 2pts and that I am the current PWA Wave World Tour leader!

Big thank you to my Dad for flying out to support me on the beach and Mom for cheering from Poland ❤️ To my coach Jorge Vera for making me believe all this is possible 🙌 To Sarah and Stef Hilder and all the crew helping out on the beach and all the friends cheering here and online! 🙏 Big congrats go to Jaeger Stone for his first event win and to Iballa Moreno for coming back on top as well as all the other finalists Victor Fernandez, Philip Koster, Ricardo Campello, Sarah-Quita Offringa and Lina Erpenstein - you were all ripping 🙌 I dedicate this podium to a very special Lady we unfortunately lost just a few days before this competition. My ‘Ozzie Mom’, woman who always had a bed ready for me when I drove up north late after work to train, who hosted all the WA windsurfers and even delivered us homemade cookies to the spot. Barbara, we love you, miss you and this one is for you ❤️🙌

We miss you Barbs!

Last but not least, thanks to José and Dani for making this event happen and to all my sponsors for support.

Here's a video from the last and only day of competition:
